Hi, I’m Caroline — and I’m so glad you’re here.
For most of my life, I never really saw myself as an artist.
It wasn’t until I was 43 that something shifted. I started to realize that the creativity I had always felt drawn to wasn’t just a hobby or something I admired in others — it was something God had placed in me. Looking back, I can see how many times I felt pulled toward creating, designing, and working with my hands… I just didn’t fully understand it yet.
At some point, I decided to stop ignoring that pull.
I leaned into it.
And that’s how my Etsy shop began.
The Meaning Behind Bowline Artistry
Bowline Artistry isn’t just a name — it’s personal.
My husband, Bo, is the “Bo” in Bowline. I’m Caroline. Together, we created this name, and in many ways, this business represents both of us. His support, encouragement, and belief in me have been a huge part of this journey.
What started as a simple idea — creating ocean-inspired pieces — has grown into something much more meaningful. Every tray, every glass, every piece of art I make carries a little bit of that story with it.
Why I Started This Blog
This blog is something I’ve been thinking about for a while.
Not just as a place to share my products… but as a place to share the journey.
I wanted to create a space where creativity feels approachable. A place where other artists — whether you’re just starting or have been creating for years — can come together, feel inspired, and keep going.
Because if I’ve learned anything, it’s this:
It’s never too late to start.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t have to be “perfect.”
You just have to begin.

My Hope for This Space
More than anything, I hope this becomes a place where people feel inspired to create.
A place where artists can come together, support each other, and grow.
Because creativity isn’t meant to be kept to yourself — it’s meant to be shared.
And if you’ve been feeling that pull to create something… I hope this is your sign to start.
